28 सितंबर को नेहरू ट्रॉफी बोट रेस के लिए अलप्पुझा तैयार

अलप्पुझा में उत्सव का माहौल है, क्योंकि जिला 28 सितंबर को पुन्नमदा झील पर नेहरू ट्रॉफी बोट रेस (एनटीबीआर) के 70वें संस्करण की मेजबानी की तैयारी कर रहा है। वार्षिक रेगाटा, जो मूल रूप से 10 अगस्त के लिए निर्धारित था, वायनाड भूस्खलन के बाद पुनर्निर्धारित किया गया था। मंडपों के निर्माण सहित विभिन्न कार्य लगभग पूरे होने वाले हैं। जिला कलेक्टर एलेक्स वर्गीस, जो इस आयोजन के आयोजक नेहरू ट्रॉफी बोट रेस सोसाइटी (एनटीबीआरएस) के अध्यक्ष भी हैं, ने तैयारियों की समीक्षा की। एनटीबीआर में नौ श्रेणियों के तहत 19 चुंदन वल्लम (स्नेकबोट) सहित 74 नावें भाग लेंगी, जिसका आयोजन बिना किसी धूमधाम के किया जाएगा। सभी नौ श्रेणियों के लिए ट्रैक और हीट को अंतिम रूप दे दिया गया है। रेगाटा में आधुनिक स्टार्टिंग और फोटो-फिनिश सिस्टम का इस्तेमाल किया जाएगा। नावों के लिए बोनस अधिकारियों ने बताया कि रेस में भाग लेने व...
